Maybe you remember seeing The Bobby Watson Band at the original Met Cafe where they were the only band to have a full weekend residency every month for years (and where their 1st album was recorded live). Or maybe you remember the innumerable Metrowest shows performed from their inception in the ‘70’s into the ‘90’s (or maybe the Sunday Blues Jams run by Pete Henderson, founder, band leader and Natick native, pretty much non-stop in this area for the last 40 years). Or maybe you caught their shows at any of the finest blues clubs throughout New England during that same era. Or maybe you should just come find out what the rest of their loyal fans have known for decades. That is that this horn-heavy, rockin’ rhythm and blues band that nails tunes by James Brown, Roomful of Blues, The Meters, Professor Longhair, Sam and Dave, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Albert King, BB King, and a host of other blues greats, as well as an original or two, does indeed bring the goods.
And you should bring your dancing shoes!
