Amazing Things Arts Center

June 14, 2017 | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Come join us at Amazing Things Arts Center. Cabaret can be singing, reciting poetry, dance, performance art… it is a window on the soul. Here, you can feel comfortable performing, knowing you are among a community that shares your joys and sorrows. We welcome new faces and gather the second Wednesday of every month. Leslie Holmes is our monthly host.  (Please join our mailing list to get reminders of the monthly featured performer).

This month’s feature: Gail Leondar-Wright

A founding member of the singing group, “Tongue in Cheek”, Gail Leondar-Wright has studied with Bill Duffy, with west coast jazz vocalist Ellen Johnson and with NEA jazz master Sheila Jordan, whose biography she publicized. Gail has MC’d and appeared as a featured performer at a number of open mics in the area. With Tongue in Cheek’s Robin Burrage as well as jazz vocalist and violinist Ariadna Kryazheva and pianist David Harewood, she has performed at Club Cafe.

A former theatrical director, Gail’s heart dwells where jazz meets Broadway.

Tickets available at the door: $9 for members of Amazing Things and BACA; $10.00 for non-members.   $5.00 for students with IDs.

Thanks to the Ashland, Holliston & Hopkinton Cultural Councils for their 2017 support of our Open Mics.
