Three nights of comedy!

Saturday, July 28 at Amazing Things Arts Center

The Framingham Comedy Weekend culminates in three hot young comics, including headliner Mateen Stewart from Los Angeles. It’s hosted by John Sucich, and also features nationally touring comedian Nick Lavallee and Carolyn Riley, a rising presence on the Boston comedy scene.

Mateen Stewart is a highly-regarded comic in the Los Angeles comedy scene who is taking his message to the masses. Originally from Detroit, he attended Florida A&M University where he majored in theater. Stewart has appeared in several on-screen roles with the likes of Ben Stiller, Ken Marino and Ron Hubel.  He has been featured in a National McDonalds commercial and has also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Last Week Tonight and HGTV.

Nick Lavallee is a comedian from the State of New Hampshire. Despite what some believe, it’s not a province of Canada. His album, The Other Dude, featured musical comedy and stand up performances with their accompanied videos online and on DVD. Lavallee has appeared alongside Sally Struthers in “I Love You, Sally Struthers,” which means that your mom will also like him, if she’s okay with his naughty language. He’s been voted “Best Comedian” six times since 2010 by readers of New Hampshire’s Hippo Press. His online content has been featured on Funny or Die, Rooftop Comedy and the Boston Comedy Examiner. He appears at the Laugh Factory in Las Vegas and Hollywood upon personal request by the club’s owner, Jamie Masada.

Former University of New Hampshire Funniest Student Award winner Carolyn Riley has made a big splash on the Boston comedy scene. She’s been on Sirius Satellite Radio, opened for national headliners including Juston McKinney, Laurie Kilmartin and Jimmy Dunn, and was selected to perform at the Hampton Beach Comedy Festival in 2017-18. She’s a regular at Laugh Boston, Nick’s Comedy Stop and The Comedy Studio, and was selected to audition for the prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival and Comedy Central.
