Patrick Mottaz, a Swiss-born resident of Newton, is an excellent guitarist for any style of music you can think of. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Berklee’s Music Performance Program, and teaches professionally as well as being an active performer. His influences include Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny, Sylvain Luc, Wayne Shorter, and Bill Evans.
Since 1994, Willie Sordillo has focused his energies on the New England music scene. In addition to leading his own groups, Willie has been a featured performer with the Latin jazz ensemble La Luna Quintet, with the bossa nova group Sambossa, with vocalist/pianist Geoffrey Dana Hicks and with the Mystic Chorale, the Marlene Jazz Ensemble, the Mood Elevators, the Blue Suede Boppers, Chops Turner, The Manny Santos Quintet, James Brown impersonator “JC”, and Enfusion, among others.
Doug Rich is from the Midwest, and he spent time there playing with local jazz legends like Ray Felder and Woody Evans, and Gospel artists including Charles Fold and Donald Lawrence. Since moving to Boston and graduating from Berklee College of Music Doug has been playing all over New England in numerous genres and with many musicians, but is most excited about what RPS is building right now.
