CHRISTOPHER BROWN joined the Board in 2015 and is an attorney who practices municipal law, employment/labor law, and general civil litigation at Petrini & Associates, P.C. in Framingham.  Chris enjoys the professional distinction of having been selected for seven straight years between 2009 and 2015 for inclusion in the New England Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, a distinction to which no more than 2.5% of the attorneys in Massachusetts are named. He is also a 2016 recipient of the International Municipal Lawyers Association’s Amicus Service Award in recognition of his pro bono amicus work on behalf of IMLA and other national public employer organizations.  He is a member of the Massachusetts Municipal Lawyers Association and has given numerous presentations on insurance, government contracts/procurement and public construction issues to MMLA and other organizations. 

Chris is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law.  Prior to attending law school, he served as a field artillery Lieutenant and Captain in the United States Army, deploying to Germany and Kosovo while on active duty.  Chris is also a 2014 graduate of Leadership MetroWest’s Leadership Academy and has assisted in that organization’s Alumni in Action community service initiative. 

Chris is an avid musician who was an accomplished trumpet and tuba player growing up in Vermont before he started to play the guitar 20 years ago when he was in college.  He is self-taught and always learning, enjoys songwriting and often attends the Folk Open Mic to play his original songs and covers.  He lives in Framingham with his wife and children.
