Hi! My name is Robin Welch and it is with honor that I join the Board of Directors for Amazing Things (Spring 2015). All forms of the arts are important to me, thus I see this as a way to share one of my passions. I look forward to helping AT continue the excellent work it has achieved, while assisting in the design of its future.

I fell in love with music in third grade. It was when a Speech Pathologist taught me how to “sing” as a way to better communicate and compensate for my stuttering challenges. Soon after, I discovered theater and became hooked on performing arts. Recognizing the power of performing arts in school settings, I chose to become an educator.  I worked in the education profession for close to forty years as a teacher and principal and loved every minute! I recently retired as the Principal of the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Framingham, MA.

Being a “natural ham,” I have performed in numerous professional, semi-professional and community theatrical productions throughout Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. I have also directed, produced, and choreographed numerous children’s theater productions throughout New England. I am currently the bass guitarist and vocalist for a local band known as XRB (Xtreme Rockin’ Band). I hope these experiences will be helpful as AT moves forward.

I truly look forward to working with this board as well as meeting you. This is going to be fun!!

Peace!!

Robin
