Deborah Silverstein’s award winning original songs, “humorous, tender, wise and fiercely principled*,” are influenced by the music of her Allegheny Mountain childhood, as well as blues and a little jazz. She was awarded first AND third place in the 2014 Pennsylvania Heritage Song Contest. Her first solo album,Around the Next Bend was nominated in the Boston Music Awards for “Folk Album of the Year.” She has shared the stage with the likes of Holly Near and Si Kahn, and has performed and recorded with the a capella band, Taproot for many years. Deborah currently performs and records with her wonderful “Band of Erics” (E. Levenson on bass, E. Kilburn on dobro and mandolin & E. Wells on guitar and harmony vocals). In April she released her newest solo, original album, Precious Time, to a sold out crowd at Club Passim. The new material from Precious Time will form the core of her show at Amazing Things.

Geoff Bartley is a folk-blues guitar player singer-songwriter and recording artist. Since 1994 Geoff has played guitar and sung harmony for folk treasure Tom Paxton. Before his main stage appearance at the 2009 Boston Folk Festival, the Boston Area Coffeehouse Association awarded Geoff its Jerry Christen Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award. In further recognition, the Cambridge Mayor’s Office in conjunction with the Boston Bluegrass Union proclaimed February 13, 2004 to be Geoff Bartley Day. The folk press has called him “a world-class guitarist, a brilliant songwriter and the prophet and spiritual godfather of the Boston folk scene”.
