About the Class

Do you wonder why the color and brightness of your photographs don’t match your artwork? Do you need better images of your work for a portfolio or exhibit submission? Learn how to photograph your art with more accurate, professional results!

We will demonstrate each step involved, even with only the most basic camera. Lighting, white balance, camera angle, lens polarization and appropriate focal length will be covered. You will leave with a foundation for successful photography of your artwork.

The workshop will take place in a gallery setting, giving participants the opportunity to learn to take effective installation shots as well. Basic knowledge and familiarity with your camera (whether SLR or point-and-shoot) is required.

Bring your camera and fresh batteries, camera manual, and tripod if you have one plus a 2-D or 3-D work of art to photograph (optional). Handouts will be provided.
