Amazing Things Arts Center

November 16, 2018 - January 5

November 16th, 2018 – January 5, 2019

Opening Reception: November 29th, 6-8pm

Take a walk down memory lane hand-in-hand with the Framingham Artists’ Guild. Our artists found photos and other images and made them the inspiration for new creations. Whether a photo from an old family album, or a rifle through the attic, or found tintypes – come see what combinations and imaginings they stirred up for the artistic mind. The works range from representational to abstractions. These are instances recorded on film that begged for an outlet!

The artworks are displayed side-by-side with the images that guided the creative process.

Founded in 1954, the Framingham Artists’ Guild incorporated as a 501 c(3) non-profit in 1987 and its current home is at Amazing Things Art Center at 160 Hollis Street.

The Guild supports Visual Art of all media and styles – painting, fabric, photography, sculpture, collage, and beyond. Members range from the formally educated to the novice – coming together to grow their personal artistic development and the art community at large.

The Guild exists because of the enthusiasm of its founders and the continuing work and friendship of artists gathered together to network, to improve themselves and their work, to build opportunities to show and sell their works, and to present the public with opportunities to view fine art and to interact with working artists.

Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Friday 12-6pm, Also open during feature shows to ticket holders.
